Burpengary is located in the Caboolture Shire and is approximately 45 minutes from the Brisbane CBD and approximately 45 minutes to the Sunshine Coast Beaches.  Burpengary covers an area of approximately 46 km².  It has 21 parks covering nearly 4% of the total area.  There are 2 local state primary schools & 1 catholic primary school (starting year 8 in 2008) plus numerous daycare centre facilities.

One of the shire's fastest growing residential areas, this development is an example of utilising the latest technology in providing estates incorporating the best environmental practises.  An award winning Development Control Plan from the Caboolture Shire Council has resulted in major residential interest in the areas of Narangba and Burpengary with infrastructure matching the growth.

Burpengary train station lies on the main railway line servicing Queensland and Brisbane City.
